I wrote, directed, produced, edited, and starred in the film. I made this movie because I wanted a Star Wars film without the hokey humor portrayed in the Prequels and "The Force Awakens," and this might be my only chance to make one, and be part of a galaxy far, far away.
The story was born from a joke I made sitting around discussing The Force Awakens with a few fellow Star Wars fans in which I stated that "Kylo Ren can not be the only child of Han Solo. Han is a scoundrel, a smuggler, a player, so I'm sure there has to be a few little Solos running around the universe."
After that I went home and began writing Scoundrels. A story that takes place on the distant planet Tarkoon, where two smuggler's are hunted by an outlaw and his horde of scoundrels. And though it isn't directly stated in the film, my character, Damen, is the illegitimate son of Han Solo.
In my own delusions of grandeur, I would hope that Disney would turn this into a series, but at the very least, I'm just glad I got to make a Star Wars film.
